• Water retention (more common with-DAC variant)

• Insulin / glucose-lowering agents (mild hyperglycemia possible)
• Glucocorticoids may blunt response

• Active malignancy
• Pituitary tumor
• Pregnancy/lactation

FDA REGULATORY STATUS

Not FDA-approved. ConjuChem clinical program for the with-DAC variant halted in mid-2000s after two deaths in a lipodystrophy trial. Causality not definitively established.

WADA REGULATORY STATUS

Prohibited at all times under WADA Section S2 (GHRH-analog sub-category).
