Insulin Sensitivity
Insulin sensitivity is the degree to which peripheral tissues respond to a given concentration of circulating insulin. MOTS-c restores insulin sensitivity in diet-induced obese mice (Lee, Cohen 2015). Incretin agonists improve insulin sensitivity indirectly through weight reduction and direct effects on adipose handling.
