DNA Repair
DNA repair research targets the cellular response to DNA damage, primarily mediated by PARPs (poly-ADP-ribose polymerases) and sirtuin-driven chromatin remodeling. PARPs consume NAD+ during DNA-damage response; declining NAD+ in aging is hypothesized to limit DNA-repair capacity.
